  Community Safety Violence

Violence is a national issue and features consistently in the press and in feedback from the public.
Of particular concern is town centre violence and disorder linked to alcohol.

However, this is only one element of the overall violence problems found in most areas. Violence can be political, economic, or social and different types of violence require different types of response. We can provide you with support to firstly understand your local violence problem and secondly to develop a Strategy and Action Plan to tackle it. Using local data and primary research it is possible to establish what type of violence is occurring, why it is occurring and how best to tackle it.

One of current projects has involved our Consultant leading a multi agency group made up of local professionals who have undertaken an audit of violence issues in their area. A problem solving process has examined issues around victims, perpetrators and offenders and this data has then been compared to existing initiatives and services to allow gaps to be identified. A Strategy including performance management framework and action plan is being developed in light of this work.
